Caring for Your Journey

Neoprene Care

Our signature bags are crafted from premium bonded neoprene, selected for its soft structure, durability, and modern luxury.

To keep your bag looking its best:

  • Wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water.
  • For stubborn marks, gently spot clean using a soft sponge.
  • Allow your bag to air dry naturally.
  • Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
  • Avoid bleach, harsh detergents, or abrasive cleaners.
  • Do not iron or dry clean.

Protect Your Shape

Many Travel by Peta bags are designed with structured construction to maintain their silhouette.

To preserve the shape:

  • Store your bag upright whenever possible.
  • Lightly fill the interior with tissue paper or a soft towel during storage.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on top of your bag for extended periods.
  • Do not fold or compress structured styles.

Hardware Care

Our premium matte hardware has been selected to age beautifully.

To maintain its finish:

  • Wipe occasionally with a clean microfiber cloth.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to saltwater, chlorine, perfumes, lotions, and sunscreen.
  • Dry hardware after exposure to rain or humidity.

PU Leather Accessories

The Journey Bell and Journey Tag are crafted from premium PU leather selected for its durability, refined appearance, and ease of care.

To keep them looking their best:

  • Wipe clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
  • Dry immediately with a clean microfiber cloth if exposed to moisture.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or excessive heat.
  • Keep away from oils, lotions, perfumes, hand sanitizer, and harsh chemicals.
  • Do not machine wash, soak, or dry clean.

Minor surface marks from everyday travel are a natural part of the journey and can often be removed with a gentle wipe.

To care for them:

  • Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.
  • If wet, allow to air dry naturally.
  • Store away from direct sunlight when not in use.

Natural variations and a gentle patina are part of the beauty of genuine leather.

Light-Colored Bags

For Ivory Sands and other lighter colorways:

  • Avoid prolonged contact with dark denim and heavily dyed fabrics.
  • Keep away from cosmetics, oils, ink, and self-tanning products.
  • Clean marks promptly with mild soap and water.

Storage

When not traveling:

  • Keep in a cool, dry location.
  • Avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Never store while damp.

Before You Travel

Before every journey we recommend:

  • Wiping the exterior clean.
  • Checking zippers and hardware.
  • Emptying crumbs, sand, or debris from interior pockets.
  • Lightly reshaping the bag if needed before packing.
